...some people who attended the show at cobo wrote us with kind words
We are PUMPED! We're here in Detroit awaiting your arrival tonight
at COBO Arena. Last time we seen you was at Chene Park and it was
an awesome show, but I bet a place like that is just too small for
a mega band like the Hip! It was a cool night. We look forward to
seeing you, and hearing Henhouse live. We know you're Canadians,
but I believe we're all part of one big family, and we love you in
Detroit as much as anywhere else. Good luck on your tour and keep
rocking!

Dear TTH, I just want to take this opportunity to thank you for a
great show at Cobo Hall in Detroit on November 23rd. The hits were
plentiful and you guys looked like you enjoyed yourself. Even when
that guy jumped up on stage Gordie didn't freak out, he even put out
his arm around him. That was cool. A special thanks to Gord
Sinclair who took time out before the show to sign a few
autographs for my friends and I. And thanks to the rest of the
band for finally coming out of the arena and onto the tour bus
were I got to say hello to you and shoot the breeze. Thanks to
Dave Powell also. My friends can't believe I met The
Tragically Hip.

Heh! Let me tell you about the last two days. Unbeknownst to the
twelve students in Michigan who travelled to Chicago to see your
concert, it was CANCELLED! When I arrived at the Aragon on Friday
night to hear some less than friendly man tell us you weren't
going to be there, I could honestly say I felt like a kid that was
just told Christmas was cancelled. That night we tried to make the
best of Chicago hitting the bars but I knew that I had to see you
guys. Somehow we found out that you were playing in Detroit on
Saturday. A sparkle of hope ignited me! After one phone call, we
learned that there were tickets left and that we could get all our
money back from the forgotten Chicago trip. Bye-bye Chi-town! I-94
was smoking hot as we drove like mad-men to reach Cobo Hall in
time. I can happily say I saw everyone of your songs that you performed and it was so awesome. I loved
it!!! It was the best that I've seen. Electrified audience
completely moved! Thank-you!

I am a rather new Tragically Hip fan. I saw you guys at Cobo Arena
in Detroit MI, and wanted to say good job. Songs were tight as
hell, harmonies were good - it was a great show! Our whole band
went, minus the drummer (because he's lame and never does anything
with us) I usually hate big shows like that, but yours was
exceptional!! PS We're really into Canadian music - We sort of
sound like Sloan/Odds, but more country. Jeremy and the Next Big Nothing.

Thank YOU !!!!! For a GREAT show at Cobo..... Been a Hip fan for
many years, but NEVER made it to a show till now !!!!! All I can
say is, "YOU GUYS RULE"....... A great show. Brought along a
cousin who had heard only a few TH songs (his loss), but now he's
a total Hip'ster !!! By the second song, he was hooked.... Thanks again for the GREAT show !!!!
Rock ON!!!!!!!

Just wanted to congratulate The Hip on a great show at Cobo Arena
in Detroit, MI on November 23rd. This was the second time I've
seen The Hip, the last being in 1993 at Chene Park in Detroit. You
really make the ticket price worth the money. The only thing that
bothers me is, I wish you wouldn't be so far and few between stops
in Detroit. I was going to go to your show at
Toledo, OH this past summer, but I got called out of town on
business. So when I heard you were coming to Detroit, I think I
was the 10th guy in line at Joe Louis Arena to get tickets that
day. I definitely wasn't passing The Hip up this time, no matter
business trip or not. So, again, congratulations on a great show,
my wife and I had a superb time. We have all your CD's, and rock
to you guys at least once a week. Thank you very much. PS - PLEASE
DON'T BE STRANGERS TO DETROIT !!!

Saw the concert @ COBO hall in Detroit. Excellent as usual! Can’t
wait til you come around again.

I just had to write and say that you guys totally rocked at Cobo
Hall on Saturday night. One of the best concerts I have ever seen.
Keep up the good work.

Hi there, I just wanted to congratulate you guys on putting on an
excellent show on Saturday Nov. 23 in Detroit. I still prefer
seeing you guys perform outdoors but even indoors the show is
still amazing. The Rheostatics were also quite good. I only knew
of a view songs they did but I was impressed along with my
friends. Well thought I would write to tell you that (not like you
guys don't receive plenty of mail like this).

Hi! Nice seeing you guys at my old stomping grounds,
the wonderful Cobo in the Motor City. nice to see a crowd that
sings along to each and every song, even the "new" ones !!!
***
Hope the tour moves along nicely, everybody stays healthy, and
have a great holiday season. Looking forward to the nest time you
get over to Southwest Michigan....remember, Radio X in Kalamazoo
REALLY supports the hip, playing stuff from all the releases!

Hi guys!! Loved the Detroit show.....hearing "Scared", "Blow" &
"Courage" definitely made it for me!!!
***
Just thought I'd write to say that the concert was really good. I
really liked when some guy from the front row jumped on stage and
began to sing along with Gord. Gord didn't even seem to care that
it was someone from the crowd, it was as if he was a backup
singer. When the bouncers finally reached the guy they laughed
and let him back to his seat in the front section. Not a bad story
to tell your friends, let alone your grandchildren.

I have just returned from my trip to Detroit, and your concert at
Cobo. It was awesome. I went with three of my friends and they all
agree. I really enjoyed the sound quality you guys gave us. The
energy you displayed was incredible. You maybe able to tell this
was my first concert of yours I've seen. One of my buddies has
seen you now four times. Too bad they ran out of beer at 10:00.
Anyway thought I'd let you guys know that the show was great, and
I can't wait till your next tour.

Just arrived back from a weekend road trip to Detroit. The Cobo
show left all 10 of us in awe. Now searching frantically for
tickets to one of the Toronto shows. One can only hope. Gotta
check your website for the set lists so I can see the names of the
new songs you played. Thanks again for a great show.

A special thanks to everyone who has taken the time to write us over the years...
