A strong mixture of Hip tunes have both described and affected my life lately. In 2002 I moved to New Orleans to begin my PhD studies. During my first year TTH played in New Orleans and the Darkest One seemed to explain every wild thing that was happening in my life--come on it was the Big Easy. The following year I was in Nashville, missing my girlfriend terribly. Listening to that song I decided my feelings of lonlieness couldn't be like they were in Nashville every night. Thus I proposed and married my wife. Our new daughter is a beutiful thing. A year later that bitch Katrina decided to take my lifestyle and all of my possessions away from me. While most would assume New Orleans is Sinking would have marked the occasion, it was actually New Orleans is Beat. The song seemed to help me grieve all that I had lost and experienced in the Big Sleasly. I flew home to the Paris of the prairies where I tried to be a top ten kingpen. After years abroad that just didn't work for me. I moved to Toronto for a short while and actually came across several checkerboard floors. I'm now enjoying springtime in Vienna, where I am finishing my dissertation on a million works of art. Life is good, thanks to the Hip I have not weakened. Like a million other fans, thank you for making music that takes me away.
