Front row for a Hip show! The Hip were playing a sh

The Hip were playing a show in Buffalo at the old Memorial Auditorium. I can't remember the date but I believe it was the Trouble at the Henhouse tour. The concert was sold out but on the day of the show the rock radio station in St. Catharines, ON announced that after the stage was set up that an additional block of tickets were immediately being released. I was at a friend's house that afternoon and we tried to get tickets. No luck. We did, however, decide to drive to Buffalo to go to the show and try to get scalper tickets. It was a struggle because my friend's sister said she needed the family van. We had to plead with her (and I believe my friend actually paid her off!) to get the van. When we arrived in Buffalo we bought 2 tickets and once inside we saw that our seats were actually behind the front of the stage. We were in the second last row of the 'gold' seats and couldn't see much. As the show began, absolutely no one sat in any of the 20 rows in front of us so we naturally moved down and were sitting at the side of the stage looking directly at Johnny Fay and to our slight right was the rest of the band. It was a great experience because I almost felt like I was on stage with the band because I could hear the music loud and clear and after every song I could hear and see the crowd going wild. So, what I originally thought were crappy seats actually ended up being great seats and a pretty cool experience! I've seen the Hip quite a few times and they've all been great but none compare to 'That Night In Buffalo'!N/A
