a love like no other

I was about 11 years old when I first realized who the tragically hip were. I was listening to the radio with my mom and heard poets. I asked who they were and my mom said it was the tragically hip. She proceded to tell me that they are a band from the small town in ontario in which I was born. As well, I learned that Rob Baker's son was in my cousin's class and that Rob was her soccer coach for a year. As years passed, I collected their cds and memorobilia. I now have all of their cds, a signed hockey jersey from their latest tour And I have been to two concerts. This year, my cousin hosted a halloween pary at Winston Churchill school in Kingston and as I was walking in Gord Sinclair was walking out. I missed him by five minutes. What a bummer. I love the tragically hip and hope to meet them some day in Kingston. They are, in my mind, one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time.
