My husband and I met in 1995 in Kingston, ON while we were in grad school. In the Hip's hometown my husband introduced me to the band, and we listened to the albums all the time (we were both starving students and of his album collection he had a only handful of CDs... The Hip, Stan Rogers and Bruce Springsteen, most notably). I fell for him to Ahead by a Century. I returned to the States, and saw the Hip in Hartford, CT at the Webster Theatre and in Somerville, Massachusetts at the Somerville Theater. Awesome concerts. My husband was terribly jealous I was able to see them in smaller venues. After 7 years my husband and I made the effort to try dating cross continentally and this time we saw it through. I moved to Calgary where we saw World Container at the Saddledome. Great concert but our seats were a little further away than at the Webster! The Hip's music played at our wedding of course, and we were blown away with the last album. Our son is being indoctrinated early. Slow Sunday morning breakfast and The Hip is a pretty good time. Keep up the amazing work, we are lifetime fans.Heather MoorePS please hit the US East Coast again soon on tour!
