Wow...last gig for us on this road trip...New Orleans...What a phenomenal city!...Venue for this nite was The House of Blues, tucked into a corner on the edge of the French Quarter. It\'s difficult to describe the feel of this city...The buzz...the humidity...the history...It\'s amazing. The venue itself is a great place to take in live music. Derek Trucks led off the nite with a tight opening set (as always) and was followed up by a memorable nite from the Hip. Fittingly closing with Little Bones... Here it is almost 20 years later and i\'m writing about these experiences...I guess I\'m just feeling nostaligic with #gimmethenews scrolling across my social media pages... Big thanks to all the folks who helped make it a memorable experience for Michelle & I... From Gord D. Gord S. Bobby, Paul, Johnny to Bea to Billy Ray, Gary, Matt, Mark...Everyone was polite and courteous as we were just a couple of young 21 year olds bouncing from city to city, gig to gig. Thanks! New Orleans was a blast... \"Nothing\'s dead down here...It\'s just a little tired...\" G. Downie Mark & Michelle from Oklahoma
