Stacking firewood with the Hip

It was about minus twenty, but a fire was blazing in the basement stove and John's cassette deck was cranked. It was the first time I heard the Hip - the winter of '93. I was stacking firewood in the basement of my boss's farmhouse. It was freezing cold and we were throwing the wood in the open basement window, then stacking it by the stove. Outside we were freezing and inside we were sweating. Every time I hear Fully Completely, it takes me back to that freezing winter night, working by the wood stove when I was a 14 year old farm-hand. I think the Hip's music sounds best when you're working hard on a cold winter night on a central Ontario farm. And it's gotta be a cassette tape....
