A Moving Experience

This is my first Hip show........that I remember. I am told I saw them at The Arnie @ Mohawk College in Hamilton in the late 80's. My good friend Mike was a manager @ Sam the Record Man on Yonge St. around this time, and had aquired us tickets and backstage passes. We started our night around the corner from Massey Hall at Lime Rickeys in the Eaton Centre. Some dinner and a couple of beers later we make our way to the show. Inside the front doors of Massey, we are purchasing some concert T's when Blow at High Dough starts rumbling through the iconic music venue. We quickly finish our purchase and race up the stairs to the second level to our prime first row balcony seats. We both quickly stop in our tracks at the top of the stairs because we can see the entire balcony swaying from everyone jumping up and down to the rhythm of the song. Scarry, but not enough to deter us and it was a hell of a ride. We rode the wave of that balcony the entire show, never even touching our seats. I kick myself to this day, never introducing myself to the band when we made it backstage. They were surrounded by industry types, receiving accolades and multiple framed albums. And I was also far far too shy in those days. But I did briefly chat with a soon-to-be Canadian Superstar by the name of Alanis (no Morrisette in those days).
